Wasif-ur-Rehman is basically a sportsman, after full representation at the regional level in more than half a dozen sports, cricket proved to be his last passion and he became a part of Pakistan Physically Disabled Cricket. ۔ Explaining the reason for this, Wasif-ur-Rehman says, “Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association has not only organize cricket in Pakistan but has also hosted several international cricket series. They toured the country and participated in many international cricket tournaments. That is why PDCA is seen as a reputable cricket body not only in Pakistan but also outside Pakistan. I am proud to mention PDCA in my sports circles while people appreciate the work of PDCA. I am very happy when someone from another sport tells me about a new disabled cricketer and suggests calling him on trials or meeting him. No doubt it is your work and your love of your own work that compels you to others. “
The disabled cricketer from Faisalabad also wore Pakistan’s green coat and represented Pakistan in international matches which was also a proof that the physically disabled cricketers of Faisalabad also have the ability in understanding the skills and understanding of cricket. No less than the cricketers of the area. In fact, it was Wasif-ur-Rehman who worked day and night to promote this style of cricket in Faisalabad and all its districts and in search of the best players and then formed the team of the region in a fair manner. There should not be any injustice. “Our cricketer from Faisalabad has also represented Pakistan.” Wasif-ur-Rehman emphasized on the memorandum. Rehan Ghani Mirza has been selected for Pakistan from Faisalabad while I am also grateful to Rehan Ghani, Adnan Butt and Waqas for promoting Disabled Cricket in Faisalabad for making Faisalabad region better and better. I was very encouraged. “
“After finding players from remote villages of Faisalabad, I am interested in teaching them cricket as well as etiquette of life. Not only them but all my students I try to teach etiquette to live life like I keep doing it. ” Wasif-ur-Rehman, a member of the Rajput family, started speaking again. “Many of my family members are on the force’s sports teams, so how could it be that I didn’t come to sports. I consider myself lucky to be serving disabled cricketers through sports. I am telling them ways to cope with the weird attitudes of time and satire and to convince themselves, I am turning their sense of deprivation into a sense of pride, I keep urging them to be useful citizens of the society. I am telling them that ordinary cricketers are thirsty to play on the grounds where you are playing. I believe that the reward for my service is with Allah Almighty and I will get many times more.
“Look” Any player in any sport, if he is treated fairly, he can play his game and you can expect the best from him.” Wasif-ur-Rehman, who has a master’s degree in a number of fields, continued his brainstorming session. “I myself am a part of this system and after completing my Masters from Lahore University, I was also studying at Faisalabad University and now I am in a senior position in the Education Department. I know that if you want to convince yourself, you have to try all the tricks of your quiver. Having achieved success in his region and then in the province, he went abroad twice to play Paralympic sports on behalf of Pakistan. I give and I keep making up their minds in this regard.
“When you undertake a major task, you come across two types of people in the world, one who encourages you and the other who discourages you.” Wasif-ur-Rehman shared his experience. “The way I faced difficulties in the early days of my sports career and then in the early days of the formation of Faisalabads Able Cricket Team. PPDCA’s Saleem Karim and Ameer-ud-Din Ansari may have faced similar difficulties, but with perseverance you continue to achieve success. As the Coordinator of PPDCA Region, I am very hopeful that Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket will develop further in the near future, new talent will continue to emerge and International Disability Cricket Series will be held in Pakistan soon.
The Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) is responsible for the promotion and expansion of the game through its associate and affiliate members throughout the country for all the Physically Disabled Cricketers of the country and PDCA is also recognized by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) who is the governing body of cricket in Pakistan.
