Pepsi National PD Cricket Championship: Rawalpindi and Islamabad Triumph in the Second Phase

Bahawalpur and Peshawar Defeated in Matches Played in Rawalpindi; Rasool Badshah and Bilal Khan Declared Men of the Match
Rawalpindi / Karachi (Sports Reporter) – Rawalpindi and Islamabad won their matches on the first day of the second phase of the Pepsi National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship. Bahawalpur and Peshawar faced defeat in the matches played at Ayub Park, Rawalpindi.
Two matches were played on the first day of the championship, which is being held under the auspices of the Pakistan Physically Disabled Cricket Association (PPDCA).
In the first match, Rawalpindi defeated Bahawalpur by 13 runs after an exciting contest.
Rawalpindi batted first and scored 138 runs in 19 overs.
Muhammad Ikram scored 40 runs off 35 balls, Huzaifa Khan made 26, and Rasool Badshah contributed 18 runs.
For Bahawalpur, Abdul Khaliq took four wickets for just 17 runs with devastating bowling, while Ghulam Muhammad and Shaukat Hussain took one wicket each.
In reply, the Bahawalpur team could only manage 125 runs for 9 wickets.
Ghulam Muhammad scored 49 runs off 38 balls, and Waseem Meraj scored 31 runs.
Walidullah, M. Aarish, and Rasool Badshah took two wickets each for Rawalpindi.
Rasool Badshah was declared the Player of the Match.
In the second match, Islamabad defeated Peshawar by 5 runs after a thrilling encounter.
Islamabad batted first and scored 136 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Syed Wizarat was the top scorer with 49 runs off 39 balls, while Shah Bahram made 24 and Salman Ahmed scored 14 runs.
Atif Khan took two wickets.
In pursuit of the 137-run target, the Peshawar team was bowled out for 131 runs in 18.3 overs.
Sareerullah (37) and Ehtisham Khan (32) were the notable scorers.
For the winning team, Bilal Khan took four wickets for 24 runs, while Zubair Khan took three and M. Noman took two wickets.
Bilal Khan was named the Player of the Match and was presented the award by PPDCA Head Coach Sabih Azhar.
Two more matches will be played in the event today.
