Syed Rafay Hashmi became the hallmark of PD Cricket in Rawalpindi

No one can deny the need for players as well as good organizers and sincere workers to develop and promote any sport from the grassroots to the National level. History has shown that a single individual, with the sincere and non-greedy efforts of his peers, achieved his goal and at the same time created his name and place in the world. There are many examples of this style in Pakistan too and especially the sports sector is full of such incidents and stories that the development and promotion of new sports has always been rapid in Pakistan. The Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association has also been fortunate in that it has met many sincere, honest and hardworking people from the very beginning of its journey who started playing disabled cricket in their respective regions and Today Pakistan Disability Cricket has made a place not only in Pakistan but also in many countries of the world. One of these people is Syed Rafay Hashmi from Islamabad who joined the PPDCA with some delay but he Despite being a normal person, he did the only thing for disabled cricketers that became his identity.

“Initially I used to play cricket secretly with my family but I hoped that I could do a lot on the cricket field.” Rafay Hashmi, a young coach with a Pakistan Cricket Board Qualified  level two coaching course, began to speak. “My family was against me playing cricket so I fell in love with cricket like a fanatic from the beginning. I used to net regularly every day after my work. Sabih Azhar, a respected cricket personality in Rawalpindi and my mentor, encouraged and guided me at every step. I also played under-16, under-17, under-19, inter-district, grade-two and first-class cricket under the same coaching, and was satisfied with my performance in each style of cricket. After that, it was Sabih Azhar Sahib who persuaded me towards coaching and advised me to come to coaching. You have all the qualities of a good coach, so I came to coaching.

“When I took the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Level One coaching course in 2010 and later tested my coaching skills in the field, I really enjoyed it. Decided to adopt the field. ” Rafay Hashmi kept saying in a tone full of determination and enthusiasm. “I’m not one of those people who rushes to the next level of coaching and rusts their skills. I worked as a level one coach for five years and after passing all the details I passed the level two course in 2015 and now I have been shortlisted for level three by pakistan cricket board anytime Level 3 will be part of it. The simple rule is that when you are sincere in your work, your work will be the key to your success and will testify to your hard work. This is the lesson I have learned from compassion. “

“Nature has made my heart very soft. In spite of the difficulties, I have never been nervous. I did all the hard work of loading and unloading in my boyhood with a smile on my face and tried to show love to my younger brother.” Rafay Hashmi, who joined the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association in 2014, added with a smile. “When I became a part of PPDCA, I had made a name for myself in the Rawalpindi region. I joined PPDCA thinking that I would devote my best coaching skills to disabled cricketers. I will do it, out of them I will cut diamonds for Pakistan Disabled Cricket. I am happy that PPDCA chose me after my teacher Sabih Azhar, I am very grateful to Saleem Karim, and dear Amiruddin Ansari father of all the disabled cricketers of Pakistan that he Gave me this responsibility. I have also spared no effort in the last eight years in the Rawalpindi region. I’m taking everyone from new players to senior players with me. “(To be continued)
