The journey of Pakistan Disabled Cricket continues today (Part 8)

The Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association had crossed another milestone by playing an international cricket series on its soil after 9 years of struggle. Along with senior cricketers, now junior disabled cricketers were also joining PDCA which was a great achievement of PDCA. The support received from the Pakistan Cricket Board also helped him to work for the promotion and development of disabled cricket across the country. During any PDCA national event in Lahore, the Pakistan Cricket Board had also allowed to use net practice for disabled cricketers at the National Cricket Academy.

PDCA also provided advanced social and moral training for all its players without distinction. Teach them the proper style of life that can make them distinguished Pakistanis in any country and society in the world. Not only this, PDCA also gave them the confidence that could not impress him not only in Pakistan but also in five star hotels in foreign countries. “Our heads are proud when our disabled cricketer offers a chair to his partner before sitting in a five star hotel during a tour abroad, waiting for him to sit so that he can sit again. ۔ Not only that! All our cricketers keep all manners in mind while eating with a fork and spoon. ” A senior PDCA official enthusiastically finished his speech.

Pakistan Disabled Cricket, like all disciplines, pays a lot of attention to the physical fitness of the cricketers as well as the discipline. There are cases when players have been banned for a special period for violating discipline or have been suspended for the next match. PDCA Secretary Amiruddin Ansari is a senior and experienced match referee, so discipline is strictly prohibited in PDCA. When the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Team played its first series against England in Dubai, the first complaint of violation of curfew by the cricketers was taken seriously and a warning was issued to the cricketers who made mistakes. given . Even in domestic cricket, the slightest breach of discipline by a player or coach or team official is not tolerated. The same is true of physical fitness, every cricketer has to take care of his own fitness, the good thing is that every player, no matter where he lives, takes care of his physical fitness and regularly consults his regional coach. Also keeps us informed about it.

The PDCA attaches great importance to the report of the manager after any visit abroad and the suggestions given by him are taken for the next visit. Similarly, after a domestic event, the managers of the regional teams are also asked for a tour report regarding their teams and it is closely observed that nothing is going wrong. One of the observations of my 25 years of journalistic life is that dozens of NGOs in the country are working on the issue of disabled people, but all their focus is on getting funds from abroad and getting funds. After spending less on deserving people and more on their own caste, Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association is the only organization in Pakistan that not only seeks out disabled cricketers but also raises their living standards. Gives them a lot instead. (to be continued)
