When the Pakistan disabled cricket team returned home after losing the five-nation World Cricket Series in England, it was greeted in the same way as it did a year ago when the same team won the tri-nation cricket tournament. At the same Karachi airport, PDCA officials, people from Karachi cricket circles as well as a large number of players’ families welcomed the national disabled cricket team and a single individual Even these players did not show that they have come to defeat. Everyone was busy welcoming the national team players, at which point the players themselves felt like they had come home like a winner.
The message to the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Team that the players were so well received by the Pakistani people, the families of the players and the PDCA officials themselves was that the real goal for us but for all Pakistanis is to encourage disabled cricketers in every way. I don’t need any trophy, no medal from them, I have to cheer them on in every way and at every opportunity, I have to encourage them in every situation, I have to give them the confidence that any normal Given to individual or normal cricketer and normal sportsman. These disabled cricketers have to be mentally strengthened so that they can make a place for themselves in the society only with their hard work and their strong arm.
I personally think that the greatest achievement of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association is that no one else has done so much for the disabled people and cricketers of Pakistan since its inception. Thanks to the PDCA, the words for people with disabilities, such as Lola, Langara, etc., have disappeared from Pakistani society and now not everyone sees such people and uses such words for them, but calls them disabled.
Our social tragedy is that in the past we used to call such disabled people with vulgar words and not only did we call them but we used to insult and repel them by repeating the same words over and over again. It is thanks to the PDCA that such people are now called by the polite word disabled and this is also because disabled cricket has been played in every corner of Pakistan for the last several years and that wherever They have matches there. These players are called disabled cricketers, so now the language of children is disabled instead of the ugly words of the past. No one noticed.
I have written many times before in the same article that after Pakistan Cricket Board, if there is any organization of cricket in Pakistan which is organized and fully functioning then it is Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association. National cricket series, several overseas tours of Pakistan disabled cricket team, tri-nation cricket series victory in England, numerous national T20 championships in Pakistan, holding a large number of pentangular cricket tournaments is not a trivial matter, Pakistan disabled cricket even today It is fresh and flourishing with all its beauty and charm. As in the past, PDCA officials are still loyal to their work and their cause.
After dealing with a deadly epidemic like Corona and two years later, while sports are recovering in all sectors around the world, the PDCA also has a number of plans for the future that are fully and positively based. Implementation can still surprise everyone today, my prayers and best wishes have been with PDCA since its inception and will continue to be so in the future.
The Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) is responsible for the promotion and expansion of the game through its associate and affiliate members throughout the country for all the Physically Disabled Cricketers of the country and PDCA is also recognized by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) who is the governing body of cricket in Pakistan.
