Pak disabled team win ODI Series against England by 2-1 at IGC Dubai

Islamabad—Pakistan beat England by 9 wickets and won  the first official one-day international  Series between two Physical Disability sides played at the ICC Global Cricket Academy on yesterday in Dubai. Electing to bat, England were chiply out only 75runs in 30  overs, Callum Flynn 13 with two fours and Mathew Patington 11with 2 fours only two players reached double figures. Ameer Ahmed Ahmed(LAS) 2-4,Nihar Alam (LMF) 2-7,Fayyaz Ahmed (LAS) 2-16,Mehdi Hasan (OS) 1- M,Kalam (OS)1-16 Bowled Well for Pakistan. England won the toss and all out only for 75 Runs in 30 overs Callum Flynn. 13 in 24 balls,Mathew Partindton 11 in 14 balls with 2 fours were England’s top-scorers . Ameer Ahmed Ahmed(LAS) 2-4,Nihar Alam (LMF) 2-7,Fayyaz Ahmed (LAS) 2-16,Mehdi Hasan (OS) 1- M,Kalam (OS)1-16 Bowled Well for Pakistan. In Reply Pakistan Disabled Cricket Team Reached the target and mad 78 runs for the loss of only One wicket. Matloob Qureshi scored 36|not out in 34 balls with fours and Major Hsnain Alam made 29 not out in 31 Balls with five fours while. Fred .b . trapping Frarooq Ahmed lbw for four,  On the Occasion Haroon Lorgat, chief executive of the ICC said he was impressed with the amazing talent of the disabled players. “It was an historic series in the sense that it created a huge amount of awareness for many of us,” Lorgat said at the series prize-giving ceremony. He added  “It is an area we have not focused much on in the past, but certainly with the efforts of these players and organizers in this series it has certainly created awareness,” disabled cricket will have to go through the normal process to get recognition. The Chief Executive Committee (CEC) meeting next month will also discuss this recent brand of the game. “Disabled cricket is on the agenda albeit still in a small way and in the upcoming CEC meeting we are again having it on the agenda, so we can start to form a framework as we did for women’s cricket and hopefully it will gain momentum,” said Lorgat the skill levels seen during the series were amazing. Pakistan Captain Saleem Karim received the wining trophy’s T-20 and ODI Series, Matloob Qureshi was Man of the series from Pakistan  and Liam Thoms (Wk) Man of the series from England  while Ameer Ahmad was Man of The Final. Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Chudary Zaka Ashraf, CEO Subhan Ahmad, General Manager Sports (Dubai Sports City) Maqbool Dudhia ECB Disability Cricket Manger Ian Martain, Hon, Sectary PDCA Amir Uddin Ansari, Media Manager M. Nizam and other officials was also present.
