KARACHI (Sports Reporter): The Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Team are favourites to win the NatWest Physical Disability World Series in England under the leadership of Nahar Alam. This was stated by none other than former Pakistan captain and President Pakistan Disable Cricket Association. Having won the title by defeating England in the final of the Tri-Nations series in 2018 on their home ground last year, Pakistan team once again enter the event with great expectations. The press conference was attended by GM Sales and Marketing Hilton Pharma-Hinucon Waqas Anjum, PCB official Wasim Bari, Honourary Secretary PDCA Amiruddin Ansari, Vice President PDCA Fouad Mustafa, Media Manager Vice President Dr. Noman Paliker, Member Board of Directors Mohammad Sadiq Khatri, Mohammad Imran Khan, Corporate and Communication Manager Hinucon Shariq Yaqub. President PDCA Rashid Latif paid tribute to former President and current generation PDCA and Disability Cricket Founder Salim Karim and said that he would like to congratulate him for his great services in introducing disable cricket under some difficult conditions. “I think Salim Karim took the challenge and undertook this project and the series with great determination,” said Latif. “It is a great pleasure to work with these Pakistani cricketers. The former captain said, “I went to Bangladesh with the National Disable Team and it is not possible to describe in words what these disable cricketers have shown. Their spirit and hunger to do well in this sport is admirable.” “I hope PCB and ICC will take this disable cricket in their strides more and more,” hoped Latif. In the end he thanked the sponsors Inter Loop Limited, the support high Nikon, the Sindh government, and especially PCB and the media for their support. The Pakistan team will leave for UK from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi on Tuesday 31st July at 11am to attend the Pakistan Team World Series. Teams from Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan and host England will alsoe feature in the series to be played at the county ground of Warwickshire. The national team will play its first match against host England on July 5 at 11am. The final of the series will be played on August 14. The most awaited match will be between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, scheduled for August 9. On this occasion, Amiruddin Ansari, Honorable Secretary of Pakistan Disability Cricket Association, thanked the Inter Coalition Limited, Hinucon, Sindh Government and especially, Pakistan Cricket Board for their cooperation. “It is not possible to have any event without their support and I am delighted that more sponsors have stepped up to promote Disable Cricket and in the World Series to be held in England, Former Test captain Wasim Bari said, “I call them special cricketers instead of a disabled one,” said Bari. “It is commendable that these sponsors come forward and help this type of cricket while they have the full support of PCB. “On the occasion a large number of delegates from electronic and print media were present. The team consists of these players. Nihaar Alam (captain), Jahanzaib Tiwana (vice captain), Hasanin Alam, Matloob Qureshi, Zubair Saleem, Abdullah Ijaz, Wajid Alam, Mohammad Shahbaz, Hammad Shaukat, Waqif Shah, Malik Kashif Nawaz, Mohammad Haris, Saifullah ( Wicket keeper), Farhan Saeed, Hamza Hameed, Majid Hussain. Secretary Amir Uddin Ansari,  Representative Interloop Limited, Representative Hiton Pharma Unicon will hold Press Conference today on Thursday  25th July 2019 at 2: p.m. NCA -National Stadium Karachi. According to the announcement of Media Manager Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) Mohammad Nizam, Rashid Latif, Amir Uddin Ansari, will give briefing to the Media Persons about the upcoming 2019 Physical Disability World series in England between Pakistan,with host England, India ,Afghaisatn and Bangladesh  physical Disabled Cricket teams which will be started from 5th of August 2018 Worcestershire, they will also announce the traveling program of Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Team, Schedule of Matches, and other Officials will also present on the occasion.
