KARACHI BLUES WON THE ABAD CUP BEST OF THREE DISABLED CRICKET SERIES 2014
Karachi: (Sports Reporter):- Karachi Disabled Blues clinched ABAD Cup best of Three Disabled Cricket Series 2014 title after defeating Karachi Disabled Whites by 67 runs in Final played at RLCA Ground Gulberg to mark the International Day for Disabled Persons 3rd of December 2014. The Event is being organized by the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association PDCA with the calibration of Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD). Openers Waheed Khan and Arif Richard provided the Opening stand of 90 runs. Waheed Khan made 52 of 61 Balls with 4×5 and Arif Richard scored 51 of 68 Balls with five boundaries while wicket keeper Batsman Danish Ahmed contributed 49 runs in 33 Balls with 4×7 as Karachi Disabled Blues made 231-6 in allotted 40 Overs. Off Spinner Captain Rao Javed claimed 3 wickets for 52 runs, Jalal Khan (SLA) took 2 wickets for 23 runs. In reply Karachi Disabled Whites were dismissing for 164 in 32.3 Overs. Rao Javed scored 38 of 49 Balls with 3 fours, Ameer Ahmed made 35 of 36 Balls with 4th fours was the man runs getters. Abdul Jabbar(SLA) took 2-4, Ali Asghar (RMF) 2-24, Umer Ansari (RMF) 2-25 and Iqbal Hussain (RLS) 2-35 bowled superbly for the Winning site. Chairman Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan Junaid Ashraf Talo who was the Chief Guest at the Ceremony graced by Voice Chairman ABAD Hanif Memon, Regional Chairman ABAD Hassan Bakhshi, Convener Sports ABAD Rameez Ghaziani, President PDCA Saleem Karim, Honoury Secretary PDCA Amir Uddin Ansari, Media Manager Muhammad Nizam. Chief Guest Junaid Ashraf Talo loudly appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association specially President Saleem Karim and Honoury Secretary Amir Uddin Ansari for the promotion of Disabled Cricket in Pakistan at National and International Level, he also announced that ABAD will continue their support for the National and International Events in future. Karachi Disabled Blues Captain skipper Danish Ahmed received the Winner Trophy, Karachi Disabled Blues Captain Rao Javed collect the Runners-up Trophy. Among the individual prizes was declared man of the match Arif Richard (Karachi Blues). Waheed Khan Best Batsman, Fazal Hadi Best Bowler and Haroon Rashid Best Fielder.
