Pakistan’s remarkable performance secures a brilliant victory against Sri Lanka! PD Champions Trophy Sri Lanka 2025.

The Sri Lankan team managed to score 122 runs for 8 wickets in response to the target of 212 runs.
Huzaifa scored 67 runs. Ghulam Muhammad’s all-round game, taking 52 runs and 1 wicket was declared Man of the Match. Shahid Wattoo took 3 wickets.

Colombo: Ghulam Mohammad’s brilliant all-round game, aggressive half-century, 52 runs and 1 wicket for 23 runs, opening batsman Huzaifa Khan’s excellent half-century, 67 runs, Shahid Wattoo’s brilliant bowling, thanks to 3 wickets for 18 runs. Pakistan PD team defeated hosts Sri Lanka PD by 90 runs in the PD Champions Trophy and secured their second victory in the event. In the match played at the BOI Cricket Ground, Colombo, Pakistan PD made the second highest total of the tournament by 212 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, earlier Pakistan PD scored 209 runs against Sri Lanka PD.
Opening batsman Huzaifa played a brilliant innings of 67 runs off 53 balls which included 6 fours and 2 sixes. All-rounder Ghulam Muhammad scored 52 runs off 28 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes, wicketkeeper batsman Saifullah scored 31 runs off 12 balls with 3 sixes and 2 fours, Mohammad Noman scored an unbeaten 19 runs off 9 balls with 3 fours and 1 six, while Mohammad Shehzad also contributed 18 runs with 3 fours off 9 balls.
MIM Akram gave 26 runs, Danushaka Weerakkody gave 31 runs and Isuro Fernando gave 42 runs taking 1-1 wicket. In pursuit of the target of 212 runs, the Sri Lanka PD team managed to score 122 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Gayan Gunarathne scored 29 runs off 24 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes, while Dulan Priyashantha played an unbeaten innings of 26 runs.
On behalf of Pakistan PD, medium pacer Shahid Wattoo bowled well and dismissed 3 players for 18 runs, left arm spinner Waqif Shah took 2 wickets for 23 runs, while Ghulam Muhammad, Hammad Shaukat and Zubair Saleem got 1-1 wicket.

At the end of the match, General Secretary Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association Amiruddin Ansari along with President Sri Lanka Physical Disability Cricket Association Lakshan Fernando gave the man of the match award to Ghulam Muhammad.
